How to record sales in My Reseller Genie after the initial set up

Overview

There are a couple ways to record sales in My Reseller Genie depending on where they are coming from, your plan level, and even your accounting method. Start by finding your plan level below and then read the instructions for your plan:

Basic & Premium

Cash Inventory Method

Since you don't have to worry about matching your sales to inventory, you can either upload sales or record them manually using the "Report Sale" button in the menu on the left of the screen.

If you upload your sales, you will click "Report Sale" > “Bulk Upload” > “Upload without matching to inventory” then...

1. 1. Poshmark sales
      • Download a sales report from Poshmark
      • Select "Poshmark" and click “Next”
      • Click the upload line and select the Poshmark sales report
      • Click the "Next" button
   2. Mercari sales:
      • Download a sales report from Mercari
      • Select "Mercari" and click “Next”
      • Click the upload line and select the Mercari sales report
      • Click the "Next" button
   3. All other platforms:
      • Select “Other” and click “Next”
      • Upload your sales file, map the columns to My Reseller Genie columns, and import

Accrual Inventory Method

Since you need to match your sales to inventory, you can record them manually using the "Report Sale" button in the menu on the left of the screen. The first field that will appear is "Item Title", when you start typing in this field, it will search inventory for a matching item. Select the item from inventory if you want to match it to the sale you are recording. Once you finish filling out the sale details and click "Add", the item will be transferred from inventory into sales.

If the item isn't in inventory, you can simply add an item title without matching to an item in inventory and fill out the other fields before clicking "Add".

You can either record sales manually, upload them, or import them from selling platforms. To manually add sales, use the "Report Sale" button in the menu on the left of the screen.

If you upload your sales, you will click "Report Sale" > “Bulk Upload” > “Upload without matching to inventory” then...

1. 1. Select “Other” and click “Next”
   2. Upload your sales file, map the columns to My Reseller Genie columns, and import (if your columns don't line up, you may need to modify your file to upload it)

For eBay, Poshmark, and Mercari, sales will be pulled in automatically via the daily integrations. When you see the notification for new sales to review, select the sales and click the "Mark Reviewed" button.

Accrual Inventory Method

Since you need to match your sales to inventory, you can either record them manually, upload them, or import them from selling platforms. To manually add sales, use the "Report Sale" button in the menu on the left of the screen. The first field that will appear is "Item Title", when you start typing in this field, it will search inventory for a matching item. Select the item from inventory if you want to match it to the sale you are recording. Once you finish filling out the sale details and click "Add", the item will be transferred from inventory into sales.

   2. Match the sales to inventory items
      
      • On the first screen, you'll see items that have a matching "Item Title"
      • If you click the "SKU" option in the upper right of the matching window, you'll see items that have a matching "SKU"
      • If there are no matches for either "Item Title" or "SKU", you can manually match the sales to inventory
